Need Feedback on Tweetup Location
None of us nonprofit types seem to get out much, so it hasn’t been simple finding a good location for us to meet on June 2nd. The more feedback on this we can get from you, the better. So far it seems that West LA is fairly central for most people. I’m guessing that WiFi would be a good idea, but most places that have it are just coffee shops or are not suitable for a group. Let us know if WiFi is a must to make your experience better or if we can do without.
Here are some ideas so far for locations, with the rationales:
- Billingsley’s (Pico x Sawtelle) - close to freeway, has a separate room we could use
- Factor’s Deli (Pico x Beverly Dr.) - has free wifi, separate room
- Westside Tavern (Westside Pavilion - Pico x Westwood) - newish, nice drink menu, seems like a good “drinks after work” type place
- uWink (Hollywood x Highland) - fun, geek-oriented restaurant
- Shakey’s Pizza (Santa Monica x La Brea or Olympic x Fairfax) - fun, cheap

Since I’d be coming from Glendale, anything in Hollywood or “east” West LA would be my preference.
The only suggestion I would have is Ethiopian food on Fairfax, but it has been so long that I’ve been out on in that area, I couldn’t even make a recommendation.
Otherwise, I’ll go with what the group wants. I like cheap & easy. I don’t require wi-fi.

I don’t need WiFi either. Your suggestions look good to me Nedra. Love the Factors Deli idea! I could go for a yummy reuben sandwich!
I’m coming from out east, so anything not in West LA would be my preference.
